How to play Dwarf Fortress?

If you have not played Dwarf Fortress before, you can visit Dwarf Fortress Wiki and read a tutorial or another one. You can also watch one of the many Let's Play... series on YouTube.

Although the user interface is different, you should be able to follow the tutorials easily since DF Remote has mostly the same structure of game screens (with the exception of the embark location chooser used when starting a new game, which provides limited functionality in the app).

In-app help is available for most of the screens and gameplay elements.
